[8/19] Pets & Vets 5K Run

Come join us and be a part of the 3rd Annual Ambler Bike Race and 1st Annual Pets & Vets 5K Run. The town of Ambler shuts down Main Street for the entire day on Saturday, August 19, 2017. The theme of the 5K is "Adopt a Pet & Support a Vet." The charities involved in the 5K are Justice Rescue and Vets for Vets. All runners receive a commemorative race T-shirt and the registration fee is only $27.00.

Justice Rescue is a PA-based non-profit dedicated to rescuing animals from abuse and neglect. Since 2011, Justice Rescue has rehabilitated nearly 3,000 dogs and placed them in loving, foster care homes. Justice Rescue also maintains and operates a sanctuary that provides shelter and medical treatment until a foster care home is found. They also provide lifetime sanctuary for dogs that were severely abused and not adoptable. Justice Rescue is entirely funded by public donations and support is vital for them to continue to make a lasting difference in animals' lives.

The mission of Vets for Vets is to support returning veterans during their readjustment from military to civilian life. Their goal is to provide safe and positive transitional housing, educational and employment opportunities, life skills & home rehabs and beautification projects for older veterans. They rely on the kindness and support of volunteers, partners and donations received from the community at large.
