After a Winter hiatus, one of our favorite community runs/walks returned last week for its Spring launch.
Forward Motion, a mind, body, soul wellness gathering, brought together partners: Philadelphia Runner, Nike Running, The Way She Runs, All Caps Studio, Club Connection, Great Circles, Forîn, and Wilde and Lovely. Each partner contributed FREE and fun activities for all who attended.
The gathering met at Forîn’s 2041 Coral Street café location. Nike Running Tech Representative Aubrey Thomas educated all on performance aspects of Nike’s Vomero 17 and Infinity 4 sneakers. Both shoes were available for attendees to demo on their respective run or walk route.
The Way She Runs organizer and Nike Women’s Running Ambassador Jess Wayashe led a guided meditation and stretch session before the 5K run or 1.6–mile walk. Designated run and walk pacers then guided runners/walkers through their Fishtown routes. Both the run and walk concluded at Forîn’s 2525 Frankford Avenue location.
Forîn’s Frankford café is where the post–run/walk party started. Attendees had an opportunity to win a Nike x All Caps Studio collaborative miniature cross–body bag. Forîn served Spring–y Lemon Marmalade Spritz and Hibiscus Hi Ball cocktails, crafted exclusively for the event. Wilde and Lovely gave out free, beautiful bouquets. Club Connection laid out cards for attendees to fill out, giving guests a chance to learn more about each other and themselves. And Great Circles hosted local DJ Phreakwency for all to jam to.
As always, Forward Motion’s latest gathering was a hit. The community event brought out one hundred plus attendees to the Fishtown neighborhood. All in the name of collective mind, body, soul nourishment.
