[2/6] Strength Training for Runners

Quick question - which sport causes more injuries to it's adherents each year? Football or running? 

Surprise! It's actually running (50-70% of runners each year claim an injury!)!! 

What gives? Turns out, we need more than just running to stay fit for running as well as our other athletic pursuits. Come learn how and why strength training can make you faster (and by running less!) as well as make you less injury prone AND add some fun and variety to your weekly routine! 

Wylie Belasik will be giving a talk on strength training for runners and answering your questions in our Center City shop on February 6th at 7PM. Make 2018 the year you get off the injury cycle and achieve your fitness goals!

Bio:

Wylie Belasik is the owner of Subversus Fitness Center City in Philadelphia. Prior to immersing himself in the world of strength and conditioning, Wylie completed 7 marathons with a PR of 2:31 and was a 5 time Ironman - twice qualifying and racing in the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii in 2013.
