Why EVERYONE Should Get Fitted for Sneakers

Whether you're walking to work, training for your next race, or lacing up for a class at your gym - you spend a lot of time on your feet. If you're feet aren't happy, then you're most likely not going to be happy. Wearing higher quality, properly fitting shoes can make a world of difference for your feet. When is the last time you were fitted for a new pair of shoes? If you can't remember, it's time to treat your feet!

Shoe technology is always changing with new materials, styles and even brands coming out each year. Keep reading to see the newest shoes to come into our shops. We recommend getting fitted for shoes every time you come in for a new pair of shoes or at least once every year. Our shops are open 7 days/week to help keep you moving comfortably. Come in anytime and remember: the most important things when trying on new shoes are the 3 F's: Fit, Feel, and Function.

  • Fit - Finding the right fit for you is what we do! We measure your feet and assess the length, width, depth, toe box and overall shape of the shoe to help find the right fit for your feet. More often than not people are wearing the wrong size shoes. You should be able to wiggle your toes comfortably and have about a half to a full thumb’s width between your foot and the front of the shoe. You want your foot to feel secure with little to no slipping through the midfoot and at the heel. If a shoe ever feels tight when you’re trying it on, take it off!

  • Feel - The most important question: is the shoe comfortable? Does your foot feel secure?

  • Function - From trail running to racing to an everyday trainer, does the shoe function in the way you intend to use it? Function also relates to how much support, cushion or other factors a shoe provides.

Shoe Fittings are always free in our shops. Stop by anytime or schedule an appointment here!
