Shoe Review: Brooks Ghost 10 GTX

By Vic A.

Trick or GTX Treat?

Halloween is all about ghouls, goblins and GHOSTs. Before anyone gets spooked, I'm not talking about the apparition type of Ghost but the kind your feet pitter-patter aka run in: the Brooks Ghost 10 GTX

  • Weight: 11.3oz (men's), 9.8oz (women's)
  • Drop: 12mm
  • Cushion: Mid Level
  • Neutral

Don't be scared, keep on reading...

The Brooks Ghost is a popular running shoe, a favorite for many runners. The Ghost 10 GTX stays committed to the neutral version, the wide comfortable toe box and the very soft cushion of the heel. The Gore-Tex material is a nice addition making the shoe water resistant so while you are out for a run in the neighborhood run (enjoying the sites and sounds of Halloween decorations of course) and it starts raining or you need to make a detour through some wet, grassy trails - your feet will stay dry.

The Ghost 10 GTX is lightweight and it gives you a very comfortable ride while surrounding your foot with a plush adaptable fit. The take off has a nice roll and the shoes lifts you nice and easy. The bottom of the GTX has just enough traction that you feel safe from slipping even when you push your speed on a slightly wet surface.

Give yourself (and your feet) a treat this Fall and come to any Philadelphia Runner location for a gait analysis to find the shoe that's a good fit for you!
