#RaceLocalPHL

Last week, The Philly 10K, along with nearly a dozen other races in the Philadelphia area, launched #RaceLocalPHL. The initiative is designed to encourage runners to think locally when choosing their races (sort of like how Small Business Saturday promotes shopping at places like Philadelphia Runner during the holidays).

As apart of this, The Philly 10K and ODDyssey Half Marathon are running a special promotional combo that lets you run both of these local races (even though the 10K is sold out) for a special price of $148. The ODDyssey is one of our favorite races of the year and one of only a few half marathons in the city. It's a beautiful course that goes deeper into Fairmount Park than most races (the view from Strawberry Mansion Bridge is incredible). It also lines up nicely with the 10K for people who like to bookend their summer with big local races. You can finish the spring with ODDyssey, head to the beach, and then kick off the fall season with The Philly 10K.

Did we mention you get free local beer after each race too?

You must register by Saturday at noon to take advantage of this offer. Hopefully we'll see you on June 11th AND August 27th for two of the biggest running parties of the year.
