Running in the Philadelphia area continues to grow and grow. From the races to beautiful trails and places to run to great groups, we consider ourselves very lucky to be surrounded by such a wonderful running community. Here's who we're running with this week!
As the running community is well aware, it's fall marathon season. Those of us training for the Philadelphia Marathon on November 19th, or various other 26.2 mile races, are already cranking out long runs every weekend. This year, after a two-year hiatus, I am returning to marathon training -- this time for the Rehoboth Beach Seashore Marathon on December 2nd. And once again, I am training with the help of my running team, American Cancer Society DetermiNation Philadelphia.
For the 6th annual Boxers’ Trail 5k, we’re giving you 6 very compelling reasons to join us for what has become an amazing community tradition in East Fairmount Park.
Eat right and you'll run better. It's that simple. Or is it?
The Philly Mayor's Cup is less than 2 weeks away and we can't wait! What's the Mayor's Cup you say? It's an annual gathering of runners for a day at the races.
5 Events. 1 Day. 1 Start & Finish line.
Last week, The Philly 10K, along with nearly a dozen other races in the Philadelphia area, launched #RaceLocalPHL. The initiative is designed to encourage runners to think locally when choosing their races (sort of like how Small Business Saturday promotes shopping at places like Philadelphia Runner during the holidays).
