We love running. If we had to choose a workout to do we'd pick running 100% of the time, every time. We'd run everyday if we could.
A well rounded running routine doesn't just mean running all the time though. Cross training builds strength and flexibility in muscles that aren't used during running and can speed up your recovery while preventing injury (and boredom).
So, what exactly is cross training? For runners, cross training just means doing another type of physical activity or fitness workout other than running. A few of our favorite ways to cross train are swimming, cycling, strength training, yoga, and trying out bootcamps and fitness classes around the city.
