Shoe Review: Brooks Glycerin 15

By Kristen O'Connell

The new and improved Brooks Glycerin 15 offers a new plush transition zone and is an even lighter weight than the previous model.

Shoe Specs:

  • Weight: 10.6 oz (Men's) | 9.2 oz (Women's)
  • Drop: 10mm
  • High cushioning
  • Neutral

Brooks Running uses a DNA foam to cushion their running shoes, which is responsive and adaptable to each person’s foot. The Brooks Glycerin 15 has super DNA which is 25% more foam than their shoes with the standard DNA cushion (for example: Ghost, Ravenna and Adrenaline). With the new updated midsole design, it has a even softer feel! The heel cup in the new Glycerin has a comfortable fit and is very flexible. The 3D fit print technology on the upper is comfortable and lightweight but still offers support. The bottom of the shoe has a plush new transition zone allowing for everlasting cushion.

As a fan of a softer cushioned shoe, the Brooks Glycerin felt amazing on my feet! It's great for longer runs and for easy days after a hard workout. I was afraid that with this amount of cushioning, it would feel like a lot of shoe but it doesn't feel heavy at all. This high cushioned shoe makes my legs feeling fresh after running in them. Even though they are lightweight, the Glycerins are durable for all of those miles ahead.
