So it's Saturday morning and you just crushed your long run. Yesterday was payday and you have some extra money to spend on a delicious (recovery-fueling) post-run meal. I know what you're wondering, "where should I go?"
I get it. I often find myself in a similar scenario. I struggle with making good post-run eating decisions, especially when I’m 40 minutes or so away from home. With that said, if you're like me, finishing a long run is a great time to reward yourself. If you need ideas for your next post-run brunch, I compiled a list of local spots to get your carb and protein grub on: #thankmelater
The list is sorted by neighborhood so all you need to know is what part of the city you plan to end your run in.
Renata’ Kitchen: This is one of my favorite brunch spots. I would recommend a dish but literally everything is good. [Location: 4533 Baltimore Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19104]
Booker’s: If you don't want to be indoors after your run, Booker's has outdoor seating so you don't have to worry about your workout scent lingering. [Location: 5021 Baltimore Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19143]
Sabrina’s Cafe - If you don't mind waiting for a table to become available, Sabrina's is a great option. Two words: Banana Pancakes. [Location: 227 N 34th St, Philadelphia, PA 19104]
Day by Day - This place is a local gem. Brunch is their thing. [Location: 931 N 2nd St, Philadelphia, PA 19123]
Plenty Cafe - My favorite menu item? The breakfast sandwiches are definitely the winners here. [Location: 1602 Spruce St, Philadelphia, PA 19103]
Ants Pants Cafe - Run through Philly then get served Australian-style. [Location: 2212 South St, Philadelphia, PA 19146]
Morning Glory Diner - It’s a diner. Need I say more?. [Location: 735 S 10th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147]
Hungry Pigeon - This place is one of Philly’s new hot spot so there will be a line. This will be the perfect time to get your post-run stretch in that many runners like to skip out on. [Location: 743 S 4th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147]
Red Hook Cafe - They have organic options and yummy local bagels. [Location: 765 S 4th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147]

Silk City Diner - You don't have to wait for the weekend, they serve brunch everyday! [Location: 2401 Pennsylvania Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19130]
OCF Coffee House - You may know they have a few locations in the city but I always find myself at this one. Grab your brunch and enjoy the outdoor seating. [Location: 2100 Fairmount Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19130]
The Belgian Cafe - Craft beer and brunch. Uh, yes :D [Location: 601 N 21st St, Philadelphia, PA 19130]
