Running in the Philadelphia area continues to grow and grow. From the races to beautiful trails and places to run to great groups, we consider ourselves very lucky to be surrounded by such a wonderful running community. Here's who we're running with this week!

Philadelphia’s running scene is booming. Need proof? Look no further than the 2017 edition of Philly Mayor’s Cup. 35 teams vied for the crown. Our city has everything from Beer Runners to Monster Milers. How, then, can a running club distinguish itself from the pack?
Speed, of course!
Philadelphia Runner Track Club (PRTC) is Philadelphia’s Fastest Running Club. We were founded in 2000 as an athlete-organized and operated competitive running team. The goal was to, “promote and foster the development of post-collegiate runners in their pursuit of ever-faster times, national championships, and Olympic dreams.” Seventeen years later, our spirit remains much the same.
Our club plays host to many different types of runners. We welcome master athletes, newcomers, and competitors of all stripes. Goals range from achieving a Boston Marathon qualifying time, besting personal track records, and even racing the 2020 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials.
PRTC meets twice weekly at Lloyd Hall and Franklin Field. We offer a fun and supportive competitive training environment. Upcoming dates on our calendar include Philadelphia Marathon Weekend (part of the USATF Mid-Atlantic Grand Prix Series) and December’s USATF Club Cross Country Nationals in Lexington, KY.
